Census night is Tuesday 11 August, and if you live in an apartment, this one counts more than you might think. Every five years, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) counts every person and every home in the country. It sounds like a bureaucratic exercise, and sure, there's a form involved, but the data that comes out of it shapes everything from where new train stations get built to how much funding your local council receives for parks, footpaths, and community servi
